Sailing Section - Woodbridge Model Boat Club

We hold a series of races on Tuesday and Saturday mornings all year round starting at 10.00 and usually completing by 12.00. Additional information can be found on our 'Programme' page.

Our club is among the rare few in the UK that regularly races a fleet of 36-inch class radio-controlled model yachts, typically competing every other Saturday. These boats are the largest we sail and feature a short keel and large sails, ideal for the sheltered, shallow Woodbridge Pond.

We may also take the 36-inch class to the ponds at Southwold or Dovercourt during the summer to let them have the benefit of a blow.

Raced on alternate Saturdays are R36 class and Micro Magics.

The larger Dragonforce 65 and our own development class the 1/2/3 race on alternate Tuesdays.

We are pleased to welcome new members who want to race any of our classes and help in trimming and sailing is always available.
